Priorities

The objectives of the Department of International Relations are the following ones: to develop proposals and actions for development and external relations, negotiations, drafting of agreements, control and coordination of their implementation, search for foreign partners and new areas for cooperation, positioning of the national health care in the world market, export development of educational and health services.

Important areas are organizational and information-and-protocol work of the department: preparation and organization of foreign business trips, organization of foreign delegation visits to the Academy; participation in international exhibitions, seminars, scientific conferences held at the Academy; provision of reception and secondment of staff, doctoral students, graduate students, residents, as part of international exchange programs; collection, analysis, synthesis of information on foreign relations of the Academy, on the activities of foreign organizations with which it collaborates.

International cooperation

International cooperation is one of the most important activities of BelMAPE contributing to the solution of the main objectives of the institution: training of highly qualified specialists, development of the priority areas of medical science, the provision of high quality medical care.

International relations of BelMAPE are constantly developing. Main foreign partners are the following ones:

  • National Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kiev, Ivano-Frankivsk, as well as the universities of Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Poland, Japan, Turkey, Iran, Sweden, Italy;
  • Board of Medical Specialties of Libya;
  • State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine of the People's Republic of China;
  • International Medical Foundation and the Association Foundation "Children of Chernobyl" in Lower Saxony (Federal Republic of Germany), Children's Fund (UNICEF) in the Republic of Belarus, the World Association of Acupuncture et al.

The academic mobility

International medical seminars in Salzburg (Austria) are free one-week seminars for doctors, organized by the American-Austrian Association (Open Medical Institute) in order to exchange experience among specialists in various medical specialties from around the world. During the training seminar participants receive information about advanced technologies and achievements in the field of medicine, exchange of experience of prevention and treatment of various diseases and colleagues. Language of the seminars is English. At the end of a week course, each participant receives a Certificate of participation in the international seminar. BelMAPE is one of the 20 partners of the project MEDEA «Alliance Medical University". The project was approved in the European Erasmus Mundus program in July 2014 and will run until July 2017. The program is aimed at providing academic mobility between European and non-European medical educational institutions, to improve the pedagogical and methodological skills of staff and lecturers.
